Bio

Dr. Shankar B.S heads the Department of Civil Engineering Department at the Cambridge Institute of Technology, Bangalore. He has an overall experience of 31 years, including 29 years in teaching. His Ph.D. is in the field of Groundwater contamination and mitigation, which happens to be his main research thrust area, along with groundwater quality monitoring & modeling, cost effective water and wastewater treatment . He is guiding three Ph.D. students. He has served as a board member at different Universities and examiner for M. Tech and Ph.D. He has delivered several invited talks in prestigious institutions and chaired conferences. He has organized Conferences and seminars and been an advisory committee member in several conferences .

He has 5 patents to his credit (Three international grants and two Indian) in addition to 82 National and International Research Publications including prestigious peer-reviewed Scopus and Web of Science indexed journals like the Springer, Taylor and Francis and Elsevier. He is also a Referee/reviewer for International Journals such as ELSEVIER, SPRINGER, IJEWM, IJAR, IJPS, EES, BJAST, EJERS, TAYLOR & FRANCIS and the Editorial board member for International Academic journals. He is the Conference Head for Scientific & technical committee of Eminent Association of Pioneers, Member of Planetary Scientific Research Committee and Conference Technical committee. He is a life member of American Association for Science and Technology (AASCIT), Indian society of Technical Education (I.S.T.E). Institution of Engineers (M.I.E) and Indian water resources society (I.W.R.S)
